The Sky Within

A soul, unshackled, floats in space,

Beyond the grasp of time and place.

A voice, as ancient as the stars,

Speaks truths that echo near and far.

"You've wandered long through flesh and bone,

A traveler lost, yet never alone.

You are the One, the All, the Vast,

The eternal truth that ever lasts."

The world you see, the lives you live,

Are but reflections that I do give.

All beings, forms, and every breath,

Are parts of you, from life to death.

I heard the voice, yet still I searched,

For something deeper, truth to be perched.

"Who am I, if all I see,

Is but a dream reflected in me?"

"Ah," it said, "You are not bound,

By flesh or form, by earth or ground.

You are the Self, the One, the All,

The source of Life, that stands so tall."

"Aham Brahmasmi?," I whispered then,

I am the source, the seed of men!

"Tat tvam asi" the truth did rise,

You and I are one in the skies.

The universe, it breathed as me,

Every star, each tree, each sea.

I am the vast, the small, the whole,

I am the Self, the boundless soul.

In this moment, the veil did part,

The world was still, yet filled my heart.

All lives I’ve lived, all pain and joy,

Were but reflections, none could destroy.

I am not separate, nor apart,

I am the One, the beating heart.

In every face, in every tear,

I see myself, forever near.

And in this truth, the voice did reply,

'You're not the egg, you are the sky.'
